hoiming is a witty luxury brand, all their leather handbags are handcrafted. Rather than just designing handbags, hoiming always explore new possibilities to carry things; thus, creating bags with reason(s) and surprises. While designing their bags, they always challenge the notion of its usage, how it relates to the body of the user, and they make sure that it does not conform to the traditional shape of cookie-cutter bags. Hence, the final design always breaks the stereotypical form and function of how a 'handbag' should be.
And in hoiming’s usual spirit to explore and to inspire, their works recapture the essence of elegance, in their own mischievous way.

Hoiming Fung and Baldwin Pui are co-founders of “hoiming”. They graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in BA(Hons) Graphic Design and BA(Hons) Fashion Design in the year 2000 respectively.
Hoiming worked as an Art Director in various advertising agency upon graduation. Influenced by her mother, an exceptional tailor for more than 20 years, Hoiming was not satisfied making mundane clothes and handbags by herself. Instead, she aspires to the hand-stitched leatherwork; which, to Hoiming means perfection and haute couture. She also co-operates with Baldwin in making accessories for his fashion showpieces. Working as a team, they set up the label, hoiming, in the year 2006.
As a fashion designer after graduated, Baldwin has worked in Hong Kong and Preen in London. Baldwin's works have a direct thematic inspiration that comes from daily life; it mirrors culture and society. He loves playing with the traditional culture together with the modern world, as well, incorporating the distinct identity of Hong Kong. As a result, his designs are always startling and witty. As one spectator best puts it: "the whole effect is primitive and almost cult-like." His collections have won numerous prestigious awards such as:
