An impression between real and unreal, the collection is finely handmade of cork and leather. Make a little wish…be brave, truthful, and unselfish…the gift of life is thine!

This collection is an expression of romantic moments by highlight with a blooming rose. Holding a handbag will feel like holding a rose(s). Love and Happiness are the elements we want to spread.

Inspired from the memories of recess time in elementary school, hoiming’s second collection, Recess2, is an an extension of “Recess” and with same expression of pursuing fun. This collection is an interpretation of different games enjoyed in playground. Fun elements like skip-rope and hula-hoops are blended in the collection to enhance the idea. Each handbag was named by an action that could be found in recess time: “la”, “fan”, “tiao”, “tang”, “Zhan”, “wan”, “Zhuan”, “cang”, “pao”, “duo”, “wo”, “yao”.

“Recess” collection is an expression of pursuing fun and relaxes; and defy to the routine life style we were having. We have been inspired from our memories of the recess time when we were little: taking a break and looking for fun. We designed this collection by studying the “actions” which always found in the playground, and to transform them into unique shapes of our handbags. The collection also blends in fun elements like skipping rope and hula to enhance the idea.

We love recycling, and hope other people do as well. It would be a waste to leave the beautiful leather in the vintage shop while no one would appreciate them, since most of them were over-sized with out-dated cutting. We hope to give those old jackets new lives. The jackets are not only treated as some pieces of leather, but help bringing out the concept of “wearing a bag”, challenge how the “bag” relates to the body. This Big Pocket Collection is a declaration of refusing to conform to the traditional shape of any particular bag.
